Rapid Rehousing Programs

Aiding families and creating happy homes for life.

In addition to providing our residents with interim housing and transition housing, The Salvation Army ensures that the cycle of homelessness is broken by assisting residents in their housing search and with medium-term rental assistance with supportive services to place them in permanent housing.

My family and I are now living our best life.

"While at Door of Hope, I learned how to budget, pay bills on time, save money, parenting skills, sobriety classes and received therapy for my children and me. The Door of Hope taught me how to live."

Families in the RRH program work with a Housing Specialist on any barriers that might prevent them from renting an apartment, such as poor credit scores, evictions or any unpaid rent.

A Housing Specialist will help residents locate potential landlords once they are ready to rent. Tenants will receive rental assistance and on-going case management based on the family's need, where financial and housing concerns will be managed before they become issues. The Housing Specialist will also act as a liaison between the tenant and landlord.

The Door of Hope Rapid Rehousing is funded by HUD Continuum of Care Program.

Please note: Our Rapid Rehousing clients are pre-selected from the CES (Coordinated Entry System). There is no direct referral process for this program. Those that are interested in being selected can contact your nearest emergency shelter or housing agency that offers the assessment test to be placed into the CES.
